Students will undertake a home improvement project, applying principles of Project Management, Inventory Management, Critical Path Method (CPM), and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
Summary of Activities:
Project Selection: Students will select a simple home improvement project as the basis for their final project.
Project Planning: Develop a project plan, including a work breakdown structure (WBS), task dependencies, and milestones.
Inventory Assessment: Assess materials and tools needed for the project, create a list of required items, and estimate costs.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Utilize MRP principles to plan material procurement, considering lead times and order quantities. (what materials do you need for each task or by when should materials be required)
Critical Path Method (CPM) Analysis: Construct a network diagram, identify critical tasks, and determine the project’s critical path and slack time
Submission: Submit the project plan document and network diagram by end of Day Wednesday 4/10/2024.

Clear Documentation and Presentation: Neatly presented project plan document and network diagram, demonstrating clarity and professionalism. (25%)
