You may choose to watch all of them in order to choose two to compare and contrast in your Google Slides presentation. Pay careful attention to both the analytical elements used, the stories being told, the cultural themes, and what gives each film value. You will also need to investigate the countries of origin for the filmmakers who made the films you have chosen. Construct a Google Slides presentation which has 7 slides that provide the following information: Slide 1 – Your name, the filmmakers’ names, the titles of the films you will discuss, and their countries of origin. Slide 2 – Provide cultural context for the films, including relevant cultural information visible in one or both of the films. Avoid trivia. Slide 3 – Film 1 – Film title, along with the most important things about this film (could be the use of different techniques, innovations in production, unusual theme, theme treatment, or anything else which makes this film unique). Please hyperlink the film to the title for easy access. Slide 4 – Film 2 – same information as Slide 3. Slides 5 & 6 – Compare and Contrast the two films. Slide 7 – Concluding statement about what these two particular films help us understand about their filmmaker’s countries of origin and what makes them valuable. You need to be sure to follow proper PowerPoint design (such as the 6X6 rule -see this document Links to an external site. for a refresher if you should need it) and be sure to use the “Notes” area to elaborate on the slide content. Notes can be found underneath each slide. The Notes should be utilized to convey what you would say if you were presenting this to the class. They should be detailed and written in paragraph format. Cite sources as needed use the current edition of APA formatting. If there are no Notes on slides 2-7, you may receive a significant point deduction.
