1. The Pop Culture Project must be typed, double-spaced. It must be at least one full page long, but it can be as long as you wish.  The Project is this: take a song, movie, TV show, poem, current news story, or current cultural phenomenon (hereafter referred to as the subject) and explain how it relates to the bible class. 
3. The subject chosen must | reference the Bible specifically, and you must be able to demonstrate where it came from in your paper. In other words, your subject cannot generically be about God or faith. a. You cannot use overty Christian material: no Christian bands or Christmas songs! 
4. In the paper, explain for me why you chose the subject, how it connects to the class, and then analyze it for me. This analysis is key to the project being worth extra credit! 
5. Explain what passages) is being referred to and explain: is the reference being used accurately? If not, why not? Do you think this subject helps or hurts people’s ability to understand the Bible passage and the Bible in general? 
6. If you can include any element of the subject, that is helpful. You could attach a page of lyrics, or attache a link to the song, newspaper article, or video clip if you wish.
