My Reflection when I went around the campus with my classmates in different wheelchairs.
when it comes to bad weather it’s not safe for anyone with a disability because the path becomes narrow and path is slippery. especially when it snows you can see how difficult it is for someone with a wheelchair to move around even if it’s powered.
ramps by the cafeteria are not good because it’s not leveled to the point a wheelchair or a powered wheelchair can move smoothly. it would be very difficult as the caregiver who will be pushing the wheelchair or if the wheelchair is powered will have to be used with full force.
ramps to get into the dean building or administrative building is not suitable and not safe as someone in the wheelchair can be seriously injured or even tilt over trying to get up the ramp
the parking lot ramp is not assessable as it goes on one side and the side that it goes on is a sidewalk with hump kind of like a step. note a smooth path for someone with a wheelchair.
the front of the campus is the only safe way someone with a wheelchair can come in for it goes directly to the campus.
although doors have the disability button for the doors to open automatically where it is placed in the building it is hard dor someone with a disability to access it
