Discuss two examples of how servant leadership can ward off unethical behavior.
One example should be from the book and the other should be applicable to your chosen company.
Provide a substantive response to one or more of your classmates.Classmate post:Hello Everyone,
There are several characteristics of an ethical leader including integrity, fairness, and employee wellbeing. Ethical leaders possess strong integrity and consistently demonstrate honesty, transparency, and trustworthiness in their actions and decisions. They hold themselves accountable for their behavior and adhere to high moral and ethical standards. They lead by example, promoting ethical behavior throughout the organization. They have a long-term perspective and consider the broader impact of their decisions on stakeholders, including employees, customers, and society.
Ethical leadership impacts employee motivation and organizational culture because when employees have ethical leaders, they feel a sense of trust and respect, which enhances their motivation and engagement. They communicate openly and honestly, fostering a transparent and collaborative work environment.
Servant leadership can ward off unethical behavior by keeping communication open and fostering an environment where people feel comfortable and can be themselves. This type of leadership means if unethical behaviors occur, employees will feel comfortable expressing themselves, and it will be addressed.
