Write a short summary of the case and what results the case produced. What were the important components of the settlement/consent decree? How do you think this case will affect individuals with disabilities in the future?
Note: Case law often brings about change without new legislation being passed by the government. The settlement agreements or consent decrees from these cases provide guidance for other schools/businesses so they can avoid future litigation. Schools/businesses will improve accessibility in order to avoid lawsuits involving similar complaints. You do not have to read through all of the case briefs.
