Evidence-Based Action Plan
For this assignment, you will develop an evidence-based action plan for your own classrooms for this or next school year (pertinent to Social Studies and CLRSE). In the plan, you should describe changes and improvements you plan to make, based on research evidence, to your practices in the following areas: 1) Setting up the classroom environment, 2) Interacting and teaching all students in a way that honors CLRSE3) Engaging parents and families of all students For each area, you should include 2 actions. For each action, first discuss the literature or research evidence (either discussed in class or found outside class readings) that supports the action, then provide details regarding the implementation of it (e.g., What will you do? What materials or resources will be prepared? How frequently will you do it? What effect do you expect it to have on the emergent bilingual or multilingual learners? etc.). At the end of the semester, you will present your action plans to the class.
