The paper should be 12 double-spaced pages, typewritten, with 1″ margins and 12 point font. It should be properly cited, in text, footnote or endnote style is acceptable. Please be sure to specify the specific pages in the cited material you are using to support your point or from which you are quoting. The paper must also include a properly styled bibliography. The form used must be in accordance with the 17th edition of Chicago Manual of Style. Sources for your paper should include at least three (3) books and five (5) articles from refereed journals, such as those attached. You will also find excellent articles in journals that specialize in particular regions and on specific topics. You may also find good references and primary source material on the Web, from such sites as newspapers, universities, international institutions, the government and respected research institutes. Of course these will not qualify as refereed books and articles. You should avoid unreliable sites.
