Beginning from your Research Question, and building on your Literature Review, develop a
strategy for tackling one type of crisis situation; this should draw on events that exemplify
the particular type of crisis you have chosen.
In terms of format, your papers need to comprise the following, at least:
• An Introduction that declares your Research Question and provides a motivation for
it (says why we should bother with it)
• An Outline, which shows how, in the paper, you have organized your answer to the
question
• An introduction to the type of crisis you have chosen; this may include tools drawn
from conflict analysis.
• The Lit Review, in which you explain why you chose which works, and how they
helped (or failed to help) answer your research question
• An argument providing different perspectives on the topic to the fullest extension
possible!
• A Synthesis, in which you draw these different perspectives into a focused argument
of your own.
• A Conclusion that summarizes (somewhat like your Outline only now you are looking
back at what have done) ; identifies anything you chose not to address; reaffirms your point

The crisis situation I chose is reintroducing cult survivors back into society. The literature review is something that is supposed to be built into the paper. It is/was not a separate assignment that was assigned.
