The material gathered from the interview will form the basis of your final paper. You are to summarize your participant’s life story and to discuss major themes in his/her life based upon course material. The paper should be more than a summary of facts about the person. Your task is to “capture an image” of this person’s unique life story. For example, what seemed most significant to you about this person and his/her life? Were you surprised by anything she/he told you? How does this person’s life story exemplify certain social/cultural, psychological, or developmental theories or findings from the course? Which theories or findings stand out for you? Does this person’s life story fit your own perceptions of aging? Your discussion should include significant attention to relevant diversity considerations addressed throughout the course.
