Assessment Description
This assessment will require you to investigate the security-critical industry-management
issues within Security Management and Incident Response (SM and IR).
Task 1: You will be required to demonstrate your understanding of the practice of critical
industry management issues including potential cyberattacks, techniques of incident
response, and security solutions. With the Bridewell Consultants’ support, all issues can be
achieved through the investigation of information security management systems (ISMS)
compliance, incident management, etc. that you will be introduced to during the module
delivery. You are allowed to use any references or academic sources such as conference and
journal papers, but all should be cited within the text. The following points should be
considered during this investigation:
• Many critical industries have an Internet of Things (IoT) security strategy in place
covering the management of IoT security facilities. Discuss the acceptable incidence
response activities undertaken within these industries for securing all management
issues (1200 words).

• Provide the security investigations of IoT networks which may be considered as future
cybersecurity issues within the SM and IR supported by the ISO 27035 standard and
Incident Management methodology and frameworks given in this module (800 words).
• Commercial critical industries are increasingly making use of IR investigations, tools,
and techniques to improve the SM. Explore the IoT-based incident response
techniques being investigated to provide auto IR proactively (800 words).
Task 2: Investigate the SM and IR of the security-critical industry you prefer and provide a
report of your findings to the school Management (1200 words). The report should include an
overview of your literature review studied from the research papers and the
methodology/programs that you used during the investigation. If a case of misuse is found,
you have been asked to recommend to the School Management Team the severity of the
offense with supporting evidence. If no evidence of misuse is found, again provide supporting
evidence to defend this position. In addition, you must write recommendations for future
investigations based on the handling of the case up to the point at which you have become
involved.
