The Final Comprehensive Analysis is similar to the Midterm. Find a new dataset from an open-source resource, complete a desсrіptive, predictive, and presсrіptive analysis using the Final Comprehensive Analysis Instructions and Rubric Excel file attached below.
Consider including the following: trends, frequency distributions, distribution measures (mean, median, mode, average, sum, etc.), countif, sumif, Vlookup, percent frequency, association analysis, Index and match, data tables, Pivot Table, What-If-Analysis (Goal Seek, Scenario Manager, Data Table), location summary, demographic summary, etc. You must show calculations used for analysis. Your final outcomes must be a concise and professional summary in your workbook (i.e. words, charts, graphs, etc.). You must show the actual raw data you used to analyze within Excel (as a separate worksheet within the workbook). Also, include within your Summary Analysis why or why not the data set has data integrity.
The following open-source resources may help students find raw data of interest for this project:
www.census.gov/data
www.healthdata.gov
www.statcrunch.com
www.gapminder.org
https://trends.google.com/trends/hottrends
www.fbi.gov
www.irs.gov
www.espn.com/nfl
www.data.gov
www.ncdc.noaa.gov
www.opendata.government
https://dev.socrata.com/data/
www.kaggle.com/datasets
www.quandl.com
Your goal is to organize the data (removing outliers if necessary or removing rows of data that are incomplete) and then analyze the data.
Once you found data to use for this project, use the tabs that are attached to the Final Comprehensive Analysis Download Final Comprehensive AnalysisInstructions and Rubric Excel file. In the tabs summarize your desсrіptive analysis (i.e. your findings, counts, etc.), predictive analysis (i.e. forecast future thoughts based on what you believe are key relationships. You may use Association Rules, VLookup, Time Series Analysis), and presсrіptive analysis (i.e. Vlookup, What-If_Analysis: Scenario Manager, one-way or two-way data tables, goal seek, future thoughts on what actions to take and why, etc.). Leverage all the skills and software you have learned and used this semester. Include a dashboard using Power BI, or Tableau.
REVIEW: The Final Topics Learned Download Final Topics Learnedlist document to help you get started.
Note: You cannot use your midterm dataset or start with someone else′s summary, charts or graphs, etc. You need to have raw data that you can analyze to determine your OWN findings. Review the student examples below for reference.
Make sure the Rubric worksheet is included in your workbook when you submit it. I use the rubric to grade and write comments.
