You can use your work schedule as a reference. Please do not submit your organizations work schedule. This assignment should be your original schedule created on a scheduling application and/or template.
Write a 1 to 2 page rationale for selected shift hours and nurse-to-patient ratios for your selected unit supported by a minimum of 2 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles.
Staff schedule should have the following:
Header (including unit, census, nurse-to-patient ratios)
At least 5 staff members
Shifts identified as 8 hours, 10 hours, or 12 hours
Days or Month
Days off or vacation of staff (PTO/DTO/FMLA)
Rubric is attached as reference

Submission Requirements:
The staffing schedule is to be clear and concise and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation and misspelling.
The staffing schedule is to be formatted per current APA style, 2-3 pages in length, excluding the title, abstract and references page.
Incorporate a minimum of 2 current (published within last five years) scholarly journal articles and/or sources.
Journal articles and books should be referenced according to current APA style.
Side note: I wouldn’t really be able to use my work schedule as a i work on needle exchange clinic and is 9-5 job we don’t stay after hours shifts like hospital where they have a nurse to patient ratio with rotating schedules. So this assignment seems to be more pertaining to hospital setting I am assuming.
