Is leadership style a binary choice, i.e., one or the other? Or do all leaders have a mixture of both styles to some degree?
Think about the worst leaders you have observed or worked for. What are the greatest lessons you’ve learned from their poor leadership traits?
CHRISTIAN POST

In my last job, I worked with a leader whose leadership style combined inspiring leadership with command-and-control leadership. As a result of this experience, I have learned that it is essential to balance motivation with clear direction and accountability. As a result of the leader’s excellent communication skills, adaptability, and strategic thinking skills, he demonstrated a number of positive skills that are essential for a leader training program.
It is vital that a leader is able to adapt, be empathetic, and make quick decisions in today’s VUCA environment regardless of how uncertain the situation may be. To navigate complex challenges, they need to inspire their teams, foster collaboration, and have a strategic vision. This type of leader is capable of providing reassurance and direction in turbulent times, resulting in the team’s resilience and innovation. Leadership in the current VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complicated, and Ambiguous) environment – Leaders can take advantage of constraints and conflicts to show and coach their teams how to deal with uncertainty. As the leader of the team, they will not blame the team for the ambiguity in their operations and results, but rather, they will acknowledge that they will instill in their behaviors an understanding of the uncertain complexities of today’s world.
BRYCETON POST
n my previous role, my leader was actually my brother. It was a kind of a feel of growing up since I am the little brother. He ensured that everyone on the team was treated fairly and always gave us positive guidance. I believe the ideal leader for this time is someone with a strong ability to adapt and understand. Jobs are focusing a lot on diversity which comes with a lot of different backgrounds. A leader that can understand and adapt to these workers and their lifestyle can make a team feel ore welcomed and ready to work.
