Overview
Cultural safety is most likely a new concept for most students. This reflection exercise is to take some time to consider how overall, this course may have changed our perspectives.
The importance is not the term itself (i.e., using cultural safety as opposed to cultural competency) just because, but rather because of how the terms are applied. When we use it as a theory or framework, it asks of us as providers, and how it has the potential to change the nature of the care we give.
This is what we really want you to think about, and consider moving forward.
