I’d like each of you to just kind of introduce yourself so we can all get to know each other. So if you’d enter in at least the following five things:
Your Name
Any previous knowledge or experience with psychology, such as a High School course.
What interests you about psychology? What you want to learn from this course.
Have you previously taken an online / distance learning class before?
And what else interests you. I’m talking sports, hobbies, whatever you’re into.
I’d also like you to return to the discussion board once it’s underway and respond to a couple of your classmates. The goal here is to establish an interactive environment right from the beginning.
How
Just type in your responses to the questions here along with your responses to classmates. Remember to get that initial response submitted before the end of the first week of classes. When responding to classmates focus your comments on the following:
Common prior experience, such as High School psychology course.
Common interest in a particular area of psychology.
Common goals as to what you hope to learn.
Your experiences with online courses in the past, if any.
And other common interests you may share.
When
Submit your initial post sometime early during the first week of classes to ensure you remain in the course. Then respond to at least two classmates by the end of the week (Sunday at 11:59 pm).
