Students will investigate contemporary environmental issues in that space/place.
1. Explore the different interactive map layers
2. Find 2-3 that illuminate environmental, social, political, etc issues for your “place.” Take some screenshots that you could use in your Sense of Place Project. You can draw from multiple maps.
3. Upload at least one screenshot that you will use to add context to your Sense of Place Project.
4. Include a description of the image, which Living Atlas Map you used, and how it adds context to your Sense of Place Project. Using their research to this point in the course, students will analyze the current discourse on environmental/health/social justice and the sustainability of current/prominent beliefs, attitudes, practices, etc. (300 –500 words). Please look for connections between your space/place and 1-2 themes/topics/arguments from any course materials.
The place I choose are Pomona, walnut, diamond bar, Rowland or san Gabriel in los Angelas. You can choose this place write about it.
