Using Adobe Illustrator:
Vector trace a photograph of an existing bottle using the Gradient mesh. It must be a photo. Perfume bottle, soda/beer bottle, vase, etc. It must be a photo of a glass bottle with some level of transparency. Fine tuning, and refined shapes without gradient mesh can be used, but the majority of the illustration must use mesh.
Criteria:
Bottle must have a reflective or transparent appearance.
Photo is large enough to use. 4MB or larger.
Illustrator page size: Letter, CMYK.
Photograph placed (unlinked/embedded) into Illustrator (Check the Links Palette to ensure the image is embedded).
Photo is on a Template Layer with a 50-75% opacity.
Draw the image on new layers, above the Template layer.
Do not use the line tool, it is unrealistic. Use shapes with a fill and no stroke to create thin lines.
Upload a PDF of your drawing with the Template layer toggled off. Also upload a JPG of your original photo. Save your work as Gradient Mesh_Lastname.pdf.
Your final illustration should be photo-realistic.
