This is my synopses :
Introduction and Background
Currently
the venue is open from 8am until 2am on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8am-11:30pm. The bar is open from
9am-11:30pm every day.
We are
proposing to change the opening hours of the venue to be 24 hours, 7 days a
week. Analysis from our operating system, sentinel, indicates that there is an
opportunity to increase our revenue by extending our opening hours as our Visitor
Time Play (VTP) just before closing is strong and it will give us an
opportunity to improve our local market share. The bar will be open from
9am-12am as daily cash checks need to be performed. I propose to apply for a Bingo
licence and Sky TV and to operate the venue as an entertainment centre.
Outline of Challenge or Opportunity
Due to
the increase in trading hours additional staff will be recruited and existing
staff will work across the new trading times as per Proposed Rota (see page 4). There will be reduction in contracted hours as currently contracted
hours are hard to exceed with new planning opening times, i.e. a reduction in
will more than offset the additional hours. Bar trade will increase by potentially
75% as currently the average bar, snooker and pool take is 3K; pre Covid the take
was 12K, although this was when Sky TV was installed.
Aims and Objectives
Increase profit and revenue,
Apply for a Bingo licence,
Introduce a new product and layout of the machine.
Venue refurbishment- separate gaming area AGC & Bar with Snooker
& Pool and Sky TV
Installation of Sky TV
Installation of Admiral branded signage
Follow the structured marketing campaign for acquired venues,
which includes a £2500 Giveaway, Admiral branded artwork (POS) and distribution
leaflets
Recruitment: currently not required, however, there may be a need
Communication: staff briefings and feedback reviews
Training on Bingo, use of new equipment and campaign knowledge.
Identification of potential
stakeholders to be involved in consultation.

Analysis of costs and commercial
context
·       Possible increased income through longer trading
hours, not asking customers to leave at closing time and going to competitors,
·
·
A chance to gain new customers –
footfall,
·
Opportunity to recruit new staff,
·
Opportunity to gain market share,
·
Increased operational costs except
power, light and heat,
·       No redundancies,
·       By reducing contracted hours and open 24/7 with new
shift pattern cost wages cost will change from average 550h per week to 470h/pw,

Current Structure:

the increase in trading hours additional staff in the future may need to be
recruited and existing staff will work across the new trading times as below.
There will be reduction in contracted hours as currently contracted hours are
hard to exceed with new planning opening times.
