This assignment has several components: reading and reflecting on three articles, writing responses to the provided prompts, and lastly acknowledging my feedback.
A. Read the article, “A Checklist to Guide Graduate Students’ Writing Download A Checklist to Guide Graduate Students’ Writing

Consider the section “Problems with Writing at the Graduate Level” and answer the following questions in paragraph form:
What are your thoughts about what the article offered in terms of why students struggle with writing at the graduate level?
What types of writing assignments listed in the article have you struggled with and why?
B. Reflect upon the “Available Methods to Improve Graduate Students’ Writing” section and answer the following questions in paragraph form:
What do you think about some of the suggestions that the authors write about in terms of methods to improve graduate students’ writing?
What methods most resonate with you? If there are other methods you know of/experienced, write about them, too!
How can any of these methods improve your writing?
C. Read over the Checklist (Appendix). Share a few thoughts on the checklist. Would this be a helpful tool for you to utilize in your research papers? Why or why not?
D. Write a minimum three-page paper exploring the above questions. APA title and references pages do not count toward this three-page paper requirement. :>) Although APA format is not part of the rubric, understanding this formatting, e.g., using in-text citations and references, will definitely set you up for success early in our course. (Don’t worry if the format is still new to you, I’ll help!)
Hint: Use the built-in grammar and spell-checking features in MS Word. Those features can help catch errors.
