Based on assessments by an accompanying teacher, participating students were pre-classified into 3 groups (‘Group3’): • Children without math problems (control) • Children with mild math problems (LA) • Children with severe math problems (MLD) Additionally, the variable ‘Z_math’ represents the z-scores of all children on a standardized math test. The variable ‘Sex’ indicates the gender of the students. The researchers suspect that children who perform well on the symbolic numerical magnitude comparison task and the symbolic approximate addition task will also perform well on the standardized mathematics test. Is there a significant difference between the three groups in terms of score on the standardized mathematics test, after controlling for the score on the symbolic approximate addition task? b.
