Teaching about timelines is a skill that crosses into language arts, science, and social studies, at the very least. It is often found as a graphic source in nonfiction texts that helps students understand the material better, and students are often asked to create a timeline at some point during their schooling. Your Assignment:
As a result of class presentations on events, persons, and approaches to education in America, class members will create a timeline of events/people highlighted in Chapters 5, 6, and 7 .
The creation of the assignment must include the use of an app/software ( technology) such as WORD or PowerPoint
The format of the assignment will include:
Title: Education Timeline
Highlight 16 events or people in the chart development (no more than 2 pages). For each item on the timeline, include date, event/movement, or person followed by narrative reflections ( 1 or 2 sentences) from the experience on the understanding of American education. Ensure that events are chronologically ordered and represent European Heritage- Present.
Format Sample:
