Students will begin by reflecting on their professional experience/classroom observation(s). In this reflection, students will discuss the engagement or lack of engagement that they witnessed and the reasons for this. Students should make specific reference to observations where high cognitive, high operative, and/ or high affective engagement was seen or where these could have been implemented or improved. Students should refer to the subject texts and other relevant academic literature when writing this reflection.
You need to write me a reflection which you can makeup, I will give you some background about the class. It was a year 1 class, and the teacher was teaching the students history, the topic being ‘Past in the Present’. The focus of the lesson was about family, and how family life has changed over time. The teacher just kept talking and then assigned the students to draw a picture of their family in the science journal. There was no discussion among the students
So the lesson was not engaging where most children just dozed off and you could tell were not listening any more. You need to focus on the lack of engagement and make reference to high cognitive, high operative and high affective engagement. You are basically making it up. But you need to make reference to academic theory which is peer reviewed and also to the MeE framework which I will attack. Please make sure the writing is of academic standard .
