Imagine that you have the authority and essential resources to identify and mitigate a serious social problem in your community. Consider the various stakeholders connected to this problem, as well as the agents who could collaborate to assist you in achieving your goal. What steps would you take? What would your timeline look like? Create and share an issue brief related to positive social change at a local level.
To Prepare
• Reflect upon a way that you can apply to achieve a professional goal related to positive social change at a local level.
• Review the Issue Brief examples as well as the Issue brief resources found in this week’s Learning Resources to guide you as you create your issue brief for your paper.
• Choose a serious social problem that directly relates to your community.
• Examples of social problem topics include homelessness, drug abuse, criminal behavior, effects of climate change, public health, and food insecurity. I choose child obesity.
• For this posting Analysis, you will create an issue brief and attach it to your main post.
Please respond to the following questions below:
1) A description of a serious social problem in your community. I choose child obesity.
2) Explain Stakeholders involvement (e.g., agencies, services, governmental offices, media, demographic groups, corporations, religious groups)
3) Explain Optimal strategies to resolve the problem.
4) Post timeline for the various stages of implementation.
5) Provide 2 peer-reviewed references (maximum of 5 references directly related to your topic)
6) Provide a different perspective or alternate strategy.
7) Propose other stakeholders that may be impacted by the decisions and why.
