Reflection in Action
Woven into your program are several themes and topics meant to enhance your learning experience and support your development as a professional who is capable of acting as a leader, thinker, visionary, and advocate. In each course, there will be one reflection-in-action journal that is designed to provide opportunities for you to reflect upon and assess your professional knowledge and skills. It is appropriate to write your journal entries in first person.
The journal prompts will have two parts. You will reflect upon and discuss each of the reflective questions in Part 1 and Part 2 outlined below. For this journal, you have the option of either creating a written response or recording a video response. Regardless of the option selected, you must address Parts 1 and 2.
The following content areas are required for this assignment:
Part 1: Course and Program Reflection
How will having a solid understanding of the foundations of supporting children with delays, disabilities, and disorders help you be able to think more critically about the concepts you will learn in future courses in this program?
Part 2: Career and Personal Reflection
How do you envision using the information from this course to help you in your future career working with diverse learners?
How might you continue to use tools like ScreenPal in your work supporting children with delays, disabilities, and disorders?
