Queer issues abroad assignment— It is important to realize that not only does intersectionality apply within any person or culture, but that the world is an intersectional and diverse world. Progresses, and struggles, which may be present here may be absent, or look very different, elsewhere. Here is an opportunity for you to explore the world a bit abroad, and see what LGBTQA+ (etc) looks like more globally.
For this assignment you are to look out into the world online and see what news you can find about Queer lives in other countries around the world.
After you search a bit, choose an article (this can be a popular news article or a research article) and discuss it, and analyze it in relation to what we have learned in the class so far.
Please share a link to your article when you send me your writing. That way you do not have to summarize and restate the entire article. You can share the essence in brief, and then analyze, discuss, think out loud, etc.
