The more i read this book the more scared i have become of our future generations. I do know some websites sell the data information to china or oither companies but never thought it through i guess until Mr. Ramaswamy laid it out for us in this book. In chaptre 8, When Dictators become Stakeholders its very nerve recking for me to understand how all these corporations are surviving with chinese money and contracts to work in china just so they can get more revenues and profits. But, what are we losing doing that? SECURITY. Chinese Communist party (CCP) is the dictator in china violating all the human rights and now it is controlling U.S big corporations like Disney, NBA, Airbnb, Apple, Google. i really agree with Mr. Ramaswamy when he says stakeholder capitalism gives us the worst of both worlds: woke capitalists in America get to make money with their dictator friends abroad and act like they’re saving the world too.
Talking about Chapter 9, The Silicon Leviathan. He mostly talk about how in realtime these social media companies choose to freeze the accounts for the people they dont agree with for example what happened to former president of America Donald Trump. How they froze his account or anyone who supports him in facebook or twitter. How they use SECTION 230, to do such things and use it as shield to protect themselves. He also talks about Antitrust law which was designed to protect consumers from companies who abuse their market power to get more power which is actually 19th century problem. I totally agree with Mr. Ramaswamy on this.
