Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas that are part of the Next Generation Science Standards create an 8-10 slide presentation using a technology tool, such as PowerPoint,   that introduces elementary school students to these practices. Since the practices describe what scientists and engineers do as part of their work, the purpose of the presentation is to explain what it takes for students to “think like a scientist.”
Your presentation will include the following content:
1. Identify each of the eight science and engineering practices
2. Use “student-friendly” descriptors to explain each of the practices
3. Provide examples of classroom applications/activities for each practice (what it would look like if students were using these practices).
Your presentation should adhere to the following design principles:
1. Organization- follows a logical sequence
2. Graphics- visually appealing and relevant graphics
3. Text- limited to keywords and ideas; main points are in the Speaker Notes section
4. Make sure to use voiceover to present your information
