Portfolio Task 1
Select a service organisation of your choice from one of the categories (see vUWS) and identify what you think is
a service problem. A service organisation is one that provides a service as its main offering (e.g. hairdresser, GP,
restaurant or café, airline, state or council services etc). It is strongly recommended that students focus on a
specific problem relating to that organisation and not one that is overly complex. You should also be able
to identify a specific segment of customers affected by the problem.
You will then investigate this problem using services marketing theory. The analysis should include an analysis of the
servicescape and a service blueprint, outlining customer pain points and moments of truth.
This portfolio task is connected to Assessment 2, Service Concept Report.
I have already chosen the organisation which is a hairdresser called Hairhouse Sydney. the problem or issue would be Not being able to understand the customer’s preference, how to achieve what the cust is looking for? i have attached a template on how the service blueprint and service scape should look like. if you can think of a better problem you can change it. i have attached alot of notes that I’ve gathered through the class and google. we need three references minimum. please try and get it done asap, I need to submit it tomorrow. Please have a look at all the attached files I hope they help.
