Objective: Your Individual report should provide an in-depth analysis of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) component/s you are assigned to work on within your team’s business challenge for the company project set by our industry partner.
Your BMC component/s are determined by you in consultation with your team and tutor (Please find the attached). The allocation decision is made based on your strengths, prior experience and preferences along with requirements of your team. All components of the BMC need to be covered within the team and therefore each team member will work on at least one different component (some will be required to work on more than one component depending on how many members the team has).
You are required to analyse your BMC component/s in-depth while maintaining good understanding of other parts of the BMC covered by your team as they are closely related to your component/s. It is essential that you spend time studying all parts of the BMC before completing your own Individual report. It is equally essential that all members of the team communicate from the start and throughout the duration of the project to ensure your Individual reports are related and relevant to each other so that your group can deliver a coherent, logical Group report.
In the attached, I have uploaded a GROUP DRAFT ESSAY and I am doing a “FINANCE” PART.
Please read other parts for your reference and concentrate on “FINANCE” Part.
Challenge #2 = Australia (THIS ESSAY IS LIMITED TO DOMESTIC – AUSTRALIA)
– Customers
– Infrastructure
– Value proposition
– Finance
Format: 2,000 words (10% leeway) plus Reference List; Times New Roman 12 or Arial 10; 1.5 spacing.
Content: Your Individual report needs to be focused on your analysis and should demonstrate how you arrived at your findings. The emphasis should be made on the quality and rigour of your analytical work, including finding reliable sources and making informed and plausible assumptions. While your predictions are important, it is the analytical process that ensures the quality of your work. For example, in the Finances block of the BMC, the focus should be on your analysis of the market and predicted demand as well as cost structure, not on the precise numbers, which are difficult to predict.
In the Individual report, you are expected to explain what the findings mean and provide conclusions about them. There is no expectation of a comprehensive list of recommendations at this stage. Any preliminary recommendations you could draw from your analysis must be practical, actionable and specific.
Required activities: Work with library databases and publicly available sources. Individual and group work, regular consultations with the tutor.
Individual report structure:
Title
Executive summary – succinct summary of the challenge and findings (max 150 words)
Introduction and background to business challenge and the individual BMC component/s, including purpose, why it matters and scope
Design and methodology – key sources of data (e.g. market reports, company websites, etc.) used to collect relevant information and their limitations
Data analysis and findings – describes the analysis conducted and the results/findings of the analysis; clearly states any assumptions made; can include visuals to help illustrate
Discussion and recommendations – explains what the findings mean and conclusions about them; any preliminary recommendations should be derived from the analysis and must be practical, actionable and specific
Reference list – to be formatted using the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style -> https://libguides.library.usyd.edu.au/c.php?g=508212&p=3476096
Appendices (if appropriate) – may include charts, tables, supporting information
