Key Assessment: Learning from an individual viewpoint (100 pts)
This assignment is part of your capstone assignment for this course. You will be provided virtual student files that depict a snapshot of a particular student. Be sure to review the file(s) thoroughly. Using one of the provided student virtual files, explain how you will create a classroom that will help a specific student maximize their learning potential based on the content you have learned in this course. You will focus on
your own specific content area,
the emotional, physical, and social development of your students (e.g., elementary/middle/high),
our learning theory(ies)
motivation theory(ies)
diversity and inclusion
Based on the virtual student files write a 3-5 page paper that explains the developmental stage of the student, any red flags or concerns you might have about the student and what supports you would hope to have in place to help that student, which learning theory you would like to use in your classroom with this particular student in mind and what approach you would use to motivate the student:
Describe the developmental stage of the student, briefly summarize the social/emotional and cognitive characteristics of the student given their age.
Using the information within the virtual student file, what are some of the concerns you might have for the student and what supports would you like to have in place to help the student succeed?
What learning theory would you use, given your content, to help the student learn.  Briefly (one paragraph) describe the theory and then explain why you think it is relevant for the student, why it would help.
Pick a motivational theory that you would use with this student and explain how you would implement it within your classroom.
The paper should be double spaced, one-inch margins, 12-inch font. Please use your textbook to reference which theories/concepts you are utilizing and cite appropriate chapters. In-depth papers will address all of the questions above with insight, will use explicit language to depict how and why each theory/concept is being used, and will strive to connect theories that will maximize learning potential for the student.
