Introduction
A world globe sitting on an open book with rows of books in the background.Consider the lessons identified in the module titles. Select two works to discuss and explore in ways they deal with their module′s lesson. You will need to address the following;
What other lessons do you see in these works?
Should the module(s) be renamed to reflect the actual message of the text better?
Are there connections between the two works you have selected?
To support your points, use primary evidence (from the readings themselves) and two reputable secondary (external) sources. If you wonder whether a source is reputable, ask your instructor!
Requirements
Proposal
A short proposal for your project is due in Module 5 – Final Project Proposal: Lessons of World Literature Project. There, you will identify:
your topic;
your potential secondary sources;
the medium you will use for submission (video, essay, narrated PowerPoint, etc.);
and a brief (one-paragraph) summary of your current approach.
You might change your view of the literature as we get further into the course or as you review secondary material, and that′s okay. The proposal should capture your current thinking.
Module 5 spans two module weeks. The proposal is due by the last day of the module, but you are encouraged to submit your work as early as possible in the two-week module to receive feedback from your instructor in time to create your final project. Your proposal will be graded as Complete or Incomplete.
Final Project
Your final project is due in Module 6 – Final Project: Lessons of World Literature Project. You may submit your final project in the medium of your choice. If you submit the project as an essay, it should be around 1,000 words (excluding the title page and references). If you submit it as a presentation, it should be around 10 minutes long and include either a slide or a document with references.
Your final project will automatically be evaluated through Turnitin when you submit your assignment in this activity. Turnitin is a service that checks your work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against a database of web pages, student papers, and articles from academic books and publications. Ensure that your work is entirely your own and that you have not plagiarized any material! Additionally, refer to the Academic Resources for Writing and Communication page in this course for information about the Turnitin Draft Coach service.
