For this assignment, you will need to recruit a high school student to respond to a series of interview questions. Explain the purpose of the interview—to explore influences on academic achievement – – and make sure the student is willing to discuss this topic. This will help you ask better follow up questions so that you can analyze the type of school, its atmosphere, size, and effectiveness, as well as the impact of family, culture, gender, and peers on your interviewee’s school experience.
This assignment should be 3 pages double spaced, 12 point font with 1 inch margins (APA style). The interview itself should be about 1 ½ pages, and the analysis (using concepts from Chap. 10 of your textbook) should be another 1 ½ pages.
