Instructions
Write a 7-8 page thesis driven paper with 4 academic sources. This paper should focus on one or two of the texts we have read this semester.
❗Please note: you cannot use the same text that you used for the midterm paper or the multimodal presentation. Review the syllabus if you have any questions.
This is a thesis driven paper. The first paragraph must have a clear thesis statement. You will use the body of your essay to advance your argument. You must include direct quotations from the main text/s as well as from the secondary/ academic sources that you use. Focus on a central theme in one text, or find a thematic connection between two texts. As with the journal entries you are allowed to draw connections with other academic disciplines or interests. Please remember that if you do this, you must still use academic sources to make your argument. All citations and structure must be in MLA format.

Academic Sources
You must include a minimum of 4 ACADEMIC SOURCES. The text itself does not count as one of these sources. An academic source is found in a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal. Published books or chapters from published books also count.

Use EBSCO or JSTOR databases. Remember to check the search box that limits the search to “peer-reviewed” or “scholarly journal.” Sources found on websites are not scholarly journals. Please use these databases, as it makes it much easier for you to know that you are using a scholarly source. In addition to the 3 academic sources you may also use additional non-academic sources, like websites and videos. Please understand that these sources cannot replace the academic sources.
MLA Citations
You must please cite everything correctly, using the MLA in-text citation method. You must include a works cited page at the end of the paper. These citations must be done in the correct MLA format.
