COURSE EVALUATION
2. Research report   2500-3000 words (excluding references), 80 %
Report should contain :
i    Introduction
ii   Text with sub-titles, which covers: classifications/methods/ reactions/ synthesis/  
properties/analysis methods/applications/uses
iii   References – minimum  25 (at least 20 should be journal articles, 
-5 points/reference for submissions with less than 25 references)
Format:  2500-3000 words ( excluding references ). 12pt. Times New Roman, 1.5 space, All chemical structures drawn using a structure drawing program (free program: ISIS/Accelrys draw  must be used ). Printed on A4 paper ( 8.5”X11”)   margins: top 1’’, bottom 1”, left 1”, right 1”. Give the number of words in your report at the end.
Literature search and Journal article collection using: 
(a). SciFinder Scholar – University Computers only, PV home page → Go to on line services →  Library → 
Electronic  resources  →  look under ‘S’ → Find “SciFinder” → register using your UID to use 
SciFinder →  search key words in your topic, save 30-35 relevant and recent ( not more than 10 yrs 
old ) journal articles to a flash drive → take home and READ
(b). Science direct :  http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journals,  University Computers only.
OR Go to Academics →  Library → Electronic resources  →  look under ‘S’  find Science direct.
No need to register, Then go to Quick Search: type key word(s). Save journal articles to a flash drive 
→ take home and READ
(c). GoogleScholar – free
Sci-Finder program, and Science direct  are in computers at room 203 NSB  and Library only
References in standard ACS format with reference numbers as superscripts in the text,
